Mission bells have a long standing significance in California’s history. In early days, the bells were often used as a way to bring people together to hear the latest news or to come and celebrate. Although times have changed, the need to have a central gathering place for residents is still a vital element in any community.
The Bell Tower Foundation was created in 2001 to help raise funds to build the Bell Tower Regional Community Center (BTRCC) as a central gathering place for Southeast Orange County residents. On November 1, 2004, the Bell Tower Regional Community Center opened its doors and began offering programs, services and classes to residents of southeast OC communities.
The Bell Tower Foundation (TBTF) is the only community-wide foundation serving the southeast
Orange County. Through successful fundraising events and campaigns, The Bell Tower
Foundation’s goal is to support local organizations, individuals and initiatives; help foster
partnerships and collaborations that are beneficial to the community; and reinforce the importance
of “community” amongst the various participants that help make our community whole.
All funds raised by the Foundation will be:
-reinvested locally into programs that benefit youth seniors, businesses and families;
-will promote the common goal of providing valuable services and resources to all members of our
community; and
-will help sustain the quality of life that keeps our community strong and safe.
The Bell Tower Foundation serves residents in the southeast Orange County communities of Coto
de Caza, Dove Canyon, Foothill Ranch, Ladera Ranch, Las Flores, Portola Hills, Robinson Ranch,
Rancho Cielo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Trabuco Canyon, and Wagon Wheel.
The Bell Tower Foundation Board of Directors
TBTF is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The Board of Directors sets policy, helps
enhance the role and image of the Foundation within the community, ensures that there are enough
resources for the Foundation to successfully fulfill its mission and manages those resources
effectively.
The members of the Board represent various professions, communities and organizations within
TBTF’s service area as well as ethnicity and demographics.
The Board of directors actively seeks candidates who are committed to their community and are
willing to serve a two-year board term. Members of the Board are leaders within their profession
and within the community. These Board members bring important resources to the Board in order to
help fulfill the mission of TBTF.
